Blackfilm.com has learned that Yolonda Ross has joined the cast of the psychological thriller “Meadowland,” starring Olivia Wilde, Luke Wilson, Elisabeth Moss and Natasha Lyonne.
The film reunites Ross with Reed Morano, who’s making her feature directorial debut. She previously worked as cinematographer on The Skeleton Twins, Kill Your Darlings, Frozen River, and Yelling To The Sky, which Ross co-starred in.
Written by Chris Rossi, Wilde and Wilson will play a couple whose son disappears, a jolt that puts Wilde on an unexpected and dangerous path toward acceptance as she seeks out a relationship with a neglected boy and watches it take an unexpected turn. Ross will play a colleague of Wilde’s character.
The film is a Bron Studios production in association with Creative Wealth Media Finance; Matt Tauber and Wilde are producing, alongside Aaron L. Gilbert and Margot Hand. Jennifer Levine and Jason Cloth serve as executive producers.
Ross, who earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for her supporting turn in John Sayles‘ “Go for Sisters,” just finished shooting Angela Bassett’s “I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story” that will air on Lifetime. Other future projects also include “Lila and Eve” opposite Viola Davis and Jennifer Lopez.
