Warner Bros. Pictures, via EW, has released a photo Djimon Hounsou as The Fisherman King alongside Fisherman Queen (Natalia Safran), Princess (Sophia Forrest) and a royal guard in James Wan’s action adventure “Aquaman” movie which opens in December.

The character is reportedly one of seven Kings of Atlantis who meets with the film’s villain Orm (Patrick Wilson) in order to hear his proposal to declare war on the surface world. Hounsou represents one of the most evolved kingdoms which consists primarily of artistic and cerebral types.

Jason Momoa stars in the title role, returning to the character he plays in this fall’s “Justice League.”

The film also stars Amber Heard as Mera; Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe as Vulko; Temuera Morrison  as Tom Curry; Dolph Lundgren as Nereus; Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta; with Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master; and Oscar winner Nicole Kidman as Atlanna.

The film is being produced by Peter Safran, with Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Rob Cowan, Jon Berg and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.

Having already played Korath in Guardians of the Galaxy (a role he’ll reprise in Captain Marvel) and voiced Black Panther on the eponymous animated series, Djimon is also pulling double duty for DC.
