Fox is canceling its sci-fi series ‘Almost Human’ after one season, reports Deadline.
Starring Michael Ealy and Karl Urban, the series was put together by executive producer J.J. Abrams and creator/executive producer J.H. Wyman.
An action-packed police drama set in the year 2048, police officers JOHN KENNEX (Urban), a cop who survived one of the most catastrophic attacks ever made against the police department, and DORIAN (Ealy), a discontinued android with unexpected emotional responses, are partnered as they fight crime across this futuristic landscape.
With series averaging 5.5 million viewers for its season finale, the numbers could never get back the 9 million that came for its opener.
This marks the second leading series for Ealy that’s been cancelled after one season. In 2012, USA Network elected not to renewed his comedy-drama ‘Common Law’ after 12 episodes.
