Gabrielle Union Books Roles In ‘Sleepless Nights’ & ‘Keanu’Posted by Wilson Morales

Gabrielle Union has booked two role in upcoming films. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Union is set to join Academy Award-winner Jamie Foxx and Michelle Monaghan in the upcoming action thriller Sleepless Night, while The Wrap is stating that Union is in talks to join Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele’s original big screen comedy Keanu.

Sleepless Night, which will be directed by Baran Bo Odar and is a remake of the French film Nuit Blanche, tells the story of Vincent Downs (Foxx), a seemingly corrupt Las Vegas cop. When gangsters kidnap his son as ransom for a shipment of cocaine he stole, Downs races to save his son’s life without getting caught by Internal Affairs and before the mobsters discover that he’s actually lost the goods. Monaghan plays officer Jennifer Bryant, an Internal Affairs agent investigating Downs who ultimately has to decide which side of the law he’s on.

Union and Foxx both starred together in 2004’s Breakin’ All the Rules.

Key and Peele’s Keanu doesn’t have any details yet but the New Line comedy and is said to center around a kidnapped cat.

Union, who also stars in BET’s Being Mary Jane, was featured in both 2014’s Chris Rock’s Top Five and Tim Story’s Think Like a Man Too.
