Gary Anthony Williams has been cast in the role of Bebop in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, reports Deadline.
The character is a member of a gang who is recruited by Shredder to take revenge on the Turtles and in the process becomes the mutated pig with a purple Mohawk. His partner in crime Rocksteady, who turned into a rhinoceros, has yet to be cast.
Already back for the sequel are Megan Fox, Will Arnett and William Fichtner; as well as Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, and Noel Fisher, who will reprise their roles as Raphael, Donatello, Leonardo, and Michelangelo.
New additions include Tyler Perry as scientist Baxter Stockman, Brian Tee as the new Shredder, and The CW’s Arrow star Stephen Amell as the vigilante Casey Jones.
Michael Bay is producing along with his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec are penning the script. Production is set to start next month.
The 2013 film earned $191 million domestically.
Williams has many TV credits, including episodic work on Boston Legal, Malcolm In The Middle, and Fox’s The Internship, currently appears on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Raising Hope, and on Cartoon Network’s MAD. He also provided the voice of Uncle Ruckus on The Boondocks.
