Coming out this week from Summit Premiere is HUNTER KILLER starring Gerard Butler, Gary Oldman, Common, Toby Stephens and Linda Cardellini.

Amid heightened tensions between the U.S. and Russia, a new generation of highly sophisticated nuclear attack subs called hunter killers prowl the murky depths. When the Russian president is captured by his rogue general, untested American submarine Captain Joe Glass (Butler) teams up with an elite group of Navy SEALs to save him. Now the Americans and Russians must work together to avoid worldwide disaster & WWIII.

Directed by Donovan Marsh and written by Arne L. Schmidt and Jamie Moss, HUNTER KILLER is based on the book Firing Point written by retired naval officer George Wallace and author Don Keith. The production of HUNTER KILLER was also fully supported by the United States Navy.

For Gerard Butler, it’s another film where his character is saving the president, but this time, it’s a foreign leader. He’s done it in Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, and Geostorm. Next year, he’ll do it again in Angel Has Fallen.
