God Particle With David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw Will Be The Next Cloverfield Movie Posted by Wilson Morales

TheWrap is reporting that producer J.J. Abrams’ sci-fi thriller “God Particle” be the next Cloverfield movie. David Oyelowo and Gugu Mbatha-Raw will be starring in the Paramount Pictures film.
Julius Onah will direct its original Bad Robot feature, which has set a February 24, 2017 release date.
Also in the cast are John Krasinski, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris O’Dowd, Ziyi Zhang and Daniel Bruhl.
The science fiction tale was first announced back in 2012. Originally scripted by Oren Uziel, God Particle was rewritten by Star Beyond‘s Doug Jung.
The plot of God Particle is said to revolve around an American space station and a team of astronauts that, after an accident with a particle accelerator, suddenly finds that Earth has vanished altogether. Things get stranger when they then they pick up traces of another space station nearby.
God Particle follows 2008’s Cloverfield and this year’s 10 Cloverfield Lane. The original Cloverfield brought in over $170 million worldwide, while 10 Cloverfield Lane took in $108 million at the global box office.
Nigerian-American filmmaker Onah’s feature debut, “The Girl Is In Trouble,” starred Columbus Short and was released last year after traveling the festival circuit.
