Halle Berry in Kidnap 2Relativity Studios has once again pushed back its upcoming thriller ‘Kidnap,’ starring Academy Award winner Halle Berry.

The film was expected to hit theaters on December 2, 2016, BUT will now open on March 10, 2017. Apparently, the studio doesn’t have enough capital to properly promote the film had it came out next month and that Relativity is actually shopping the film around town to potential distributors, according to Deadline.

Luis Prieto (Pusher) directed the film, based off Knate Gwaltney’s first screenplay. The film is a heart-stopping action thriller following a mother (Berry) who will stop at nothing to rescue her kidnapped son.

The cast also includes Patrick Kearns, Lew Temple, Dana Gourrier, Christopher Berry, Robert Walker Branchaud, Erica Curtis, Ritchie Montgomery, Kurt Krause, and Michael D. Anglin.

Di Bonaventure Pictures’ Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Erik Howsam produced the film. Executive producers are Lotus Entertainment’s Bill Johnson, Jim Seibel, D.J. Gugenheim and Ara Keshishian alongside Gold Star’s Joey Tufaro and Colin Bates, Knate Gwaltney, Halle Berry and her producing partner Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas through their 606 Films production banner.
