Harold Perrineau, who will next be seen opposite Nic Cage in the thriller ‘Seeking Justice,’ has been cast in Oscar-winner Kathryn Bigelow‘s ‘Bin Laden‘ film.
Written by Mark Boal, Perrineau’s role is being kept secret as with other cast in the film, which includes Kyle Chandler, Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Joel Edgerton and Chris Pratt.
The film focuses on Navy SEAL Team 6′s long hunt for Al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden, who was killed last year, nearly a decade after ordering the 9/11 attacks in New York and Washington, D.C.
Sony Pictures has slated a December 19th release in order to stay clear of the U.S. presidential elections in November.
Perrineau is a veteran actor known for his roles of Michael Dawson in the TV series Lost, Link in The Matrix films, Augustus Hill in the HBO TV series Oz, and as Julian Murch in Malcolm D. Lee’s The Best Man. He recently starred in ABC’s comedy-drama television series The Unusuals, playing NYPD homicide detective Leo Banks.
