HBO’s Ballers Season 3 And Insecure Season 2 To Premiere On July 23Posted by Wilson Morales

HBO has announced that Season 3 of Ballers (10pm) and Season 2 of Insecure (10:30pm) will premiere on Sunday, July 23, debuting after Episode 2 of Game of Thrones‘ seventh season.
Insecure star and creator of the series, Issa Rae, revealed in a Twitter video below, this afternoon.

The series that follows best friends Issa (Rae) and Molly (Yvonne Orji) as they navigate the tricky professional and personal terrain of Los Angeles, while facing the challenges of being two black women who defy all stereotypes, as Issa and Molly stumble their way towards pulling their lives together, while trying their hardest to never settle for less.
Along with Issa Rae, series regulars include Jay Ellis (Lawrence) Yvonne Orji and Lisa Joyce (Frieda), with Amanda Seales and Natasha Rothwell promoted to regular status. The latter two appeared in four episodes last season.
The series, written, created, and executive produced by Issa Rea, is also executive produced by show runner Prentice Penny, and director Melina Matsoukas, who directed three episodes of “Insecure,” as well as Michael Rotenberg, Dave Becky and Jonathan Berry.
“Insecure: The Complete First Season” will be available on Blu-ray and DVD (both with a free digital download copy) on March 21, 2017, featuring all eight Season 1 episodes and bonus content, including an exclusive and extended look at the “Insecure” characters’ favorite reality show, “Conjugal Visits.” Rae was a 2016 Golden Globe nominee (Best Actress in a Comedy Series).
Airing at 10 PM, the 10-episode Season 3 of Ballers starring Dwayne Johnson continues to follow the lives of former and current football players, centering on former superstar Spencer Strasmore (Johnson), who has reinvented himself as a financial manager for current players in sun-drenched Miami.
The series created by Steve Levinson was renewed in July, and it was announced in November that production on Ballers was moving from Florida to California to qualify for the Golden State’s tax credits program. The comedy is executive produced by Stephen Levinson, Mark Wahlberg, Johnson, Dany Garcia, Peter Berg, Evan Reilly, Rob Weiss, Julian Farino and Denis Biggs.
