Jordan Peele is bringing a new horror film to audiences July 22, 2022 as announced by Universal. No details have been reported on the new project but has been said by Universal to be a “horror event”. The movie has yet to be titled.
Peele is quickly becoming horror royalty as his debut film Get Out grossed $255 million worldwide while also winning an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. His sophomore project, US, was also a worldwide success ironically grossing the same numbers as Get Out in the box office.
Peele broke onto the scene with his Comedy Network sketch comedy show Key & Peele. He now uses his comedy to fuel the social undertones of his horror films that have impressed audiences across the world. The writer/producer/director has reintroduced audiences to The Twilight Zone, Candyman, and has produced the hit genre bending Lovecraft Country for HBO. He’s also producing the upcoming Wes Craven remake, The People Under The Stairs for Universal.
