Variety is reporting that Kat Graham, who is on CW’s “The Vampire,” has been cast to play Jada Pinkett Smith in the upcoming Tupac Shukur biopic, “All Eyez on Me.”

Smith and Shakur were high school classmates at the Baltimore School for the Arts and remained friends before his 1996 murder.

Currently shooting in Atlanta and directed by Benny Boom, the film centers on the life and legacy of Shakur, including his rise to superstardom as a hip-hop artist and actor, his imprisonment and his time at Death Row Records.

Already cast in the film are Demetrius Shipp, Jr. as Tupac and “Walking Dead” star Danai Gurira as Shakur’s mother, Afeni Shakur.

Graham was last seen opposite Boris Kodjoe in “Addicted,” which was directed by Bille Woodruff. Her other film credits include “The Roommate” and “Honey 2,” which Woodruff also directed. Variety also states that she released her debut album “Roxbury Drive” and will be releasing new music in the spring. Graham is also executive producing dance drama “From the Top” for the CW with Warner Bros TV.
