Cinelou Films’ Co-CEOs Courtney Solomon and Mark Canton announced today that MR. CHURCH, which stars Academy Award-nominated actor Eddie Murphy (DREAMGIRLS) and Britt Robertson (TOMORROWLAND and Hulu’s CASUAL), will debut in theaters on Sept. 16.

MR. CHURCH, produced by Cinelou and EMA, is a touching and heartwarming drama that tells the story of a lifelong friendship that develops between a young girl (Robertson) and the cook (Murphy) hired to help care for her dying mother (Natascha McElhone). Two-time Academy Award nominee Bruce Beresford (TENDER MERCIES, DRIVING MISS DAISY) directs. The film was produced by Solomon, Canton, Lee Nelson and David Buelow. MR. CHURCH was executive produced by Shenghua Entertainment’s Yu Wei Chung, in addition to Dennis L. Pelino and Fredy Bush.
