Deena Pilgrim begins the series as a rookie – a lowly police officer on the streets of Chicago, under a corrupt captain named Adlard (who worked for Mama Joon, a powerful crime boss). Little else is known of her past, though she reveals in the comic that her brother was a Power called “Hoodwink”. Character Descriptions
Christian Walker
Moody yet charismatic, he has the dissolute air of a burnt out rock star and the body of a battered heavyweight. Once a Superstar amongst the Powers elite, his powers were stolen in a violent battle with his former mentor turned mass killer, Wolfe. Never one to fade into oblivion, he’s now a detective in the Powers Division, using his singular expertise to investigate crimes while desperately trying to regain his powers and former glory.
Deena Pilgrim
Equal parts beauty and sarcasm, she’s a wunderkind detective with edgy style. New to the Powers division, she’s partnered with renowned detective Christian Walker. The daughter of a legendary lawman, she combines tremendous instincts and an eye for detail with an ability to bring down perps twice her size.
Johnny Royalle
A criminal mastermind Power with the ability to pop in and out of locations at will. Charming and deadly, Johnny Royalle has an effervescent smile and a murderous heart that also shares an inharmonious capacity for love that happens to be his Achilles heel. He owns a cutting edge underground venue, the Here and Gone Club that may be part of a dark and deadly conspiracy.
Wolfe
Dark and dangerous, he is the kind of Power who haunts not only your nightmares but terrorizes your days. He has spent the last two decades incarcerated in the high security Powers Division prison known as “The Shaft,” his terrible abilities kept in check through a brutal regimen of surgical procedures. Now, pushed well beyond the edge of madness, he was once a mentor of up and coming Powers who were drawn to his unique philosophy, and continues to share an unbreakable bond with Christian Walker, his former pupil.
Retro Girl
The undisputed superstar of the Powers community, she is an icon of justice, selflessness, and business acumen. Her willingness to put herself at risk for the good of others is matched only by her ability to manage her globe-spanning personal brand and countless endorsement deals.
Calista
A teenage Power wannabe with street smarts, attitude and vulnerability, Calista is always seeking out her next move. She longs to be a Power, and will do almost anything to further her futile yearning.
Krispin Stockley
The son of Christian Walker’s murdered partner, this disaffected teen is still struggling with the death of his father at the hand of a rogue Power which starts him on a dark journey that will warp him both physically and emotionally.
Captain Emile Cross
Intelligent and intense, he’s solid steel in a frail frame. The captain of the Powers Division, he’s bookish, respectful and loyal but may harbor a secret agenda that could lead his beloved department into a full-fledged conspiracy.
Zora
A young, extremely powerful star in the making, she has the ability to manipulate light to forceful effect. Zora has been groomed for a position among the Powers elite from a young age but as her powers grow her patience fades.
