During its New York Comic-Con panel, Netflix & Marvel released the trailer to Iron Fist, which will debut on March 17, 2017 at 12:01am PT in all territories where Netflix is available.
Moderated by Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Marvel’s Head of Television, he introduced the cast Finn Jones (Danny Rand), Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing), Jessica Stroup (Joy Meachum), Tom Pelphrey (Ward Meachum), David Wenham (Harold Meachum), Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple) and showrunner and Executive Producer, Scott Buck.
In the comics Iron Fist is Daniel Rand, who at age of 9 travels with his family to a lost mystical city called K’un-L’un. After some tragic twists of fate, Rand is adopted by city’s ruler and taught advanced martial arts and the mystical power of the Iron Fist. As an adult, Rand returns to his native New York City and begins a career as a superhero.

For the TV series, Marvel’s Iron Fist follows Danny Rand (Finn Jones), who returns to New York City after being missing for years. He fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist. The cast also includes Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, David Wenham as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, and Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum.
Marvel’s Jessica Jones star Carrie-Anne Moss will also reprise her role of lawyer Jeri Hogarth and it’s widely rumored that Luke Cage star Simone Missick will also reprise her as Misty Knight.
First introduced in the comics in 1974, the Gil Kane and Roy Thomas-created Iron Fist frequently teamed up with Luke Cage in the Heroes For Hire series.
Iron Fist is the fourth of the epic live-action adventure series (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones and Marvel’s Luke Cage which are now streaming, all leading up to the teaming of the main characters in Marvel’s The Defenders) to premiere only on Netflix. The drama will premiere with 13 one-hour episodes.
