Omari Hardwick and Terry Crews have been added Boots Riley‘s first written-directed feature, ‘Sorry To Bother You,’ joining Tessa Thompson, Armie Hammer, Lakeith Stanfield, Jermaine Fowler, and Steven Yeun.

The film is about a black telemarketer with self-esteem issues who discovers a magical key to business success, propelling him to the upper echelons of the hierarchy just as his activist comrades are rising up against unjust labor practices. When he uncovers the macabre secret of his corporate overlords, he must decide whether to stand up or sell out.

Nina Yang Bongiovi and Forest Whitaker of Signficant Prods. are producing along with 6 Years‘ Jonathan Duffy and Kelly Williams, Charles D. King, and George Rush. Significant Productions, MNM Creative, MACRO and Cinereach are financing the production.

The executive producers of Sorry to Bother You are Kim Roth, Poppy Hanks, Michael Y. Chow, Michael K. Shen,Gus Deardoff, Philipp Engelhorn, and Caroline Kaplan.

Hardwick currently stars on Ghost on Starz original series Power, which is in its fourth season. His upcoming film slate includes Ric Roman Waugh’s crime thriller Shot Caller and A Boy. A Girl. A Dream: Love on Election Night from Qasim Basir.

Crews will next be seen in the indie comedy Where’s The Money and heard in the animated pic The Willoughbys.
