Last night, the cast of SLEEPLESS – Jamie Foxx, Gabrielle Union, Michelle Monaghan, Dermot Mulroney — and director Baran bo Odar, walked the red carpet at the SLEEPLESS Movie Premiere in Los Angeles.
The upcoming crime drama thriller also stars rapper T.I., Scoot McNairy and David Harbour.
Directed by Baran Bo Odar from a script written by Andrea Berloff, the film will hit theaters on January 13, 2017.
Based on the 2011 French film “Nuit Blanche,” the movie centers on cop with a connection to the criminal underworld who scours a nightclub in search of his kidnapped son.
SLEEPLESS stars Jamie Foxx as undercover Las Vegas police officer Vincent Downs, who is caught in a high stakes web of corrupt cops and the mob-controlled casino underground. When a heist goes wrong, a crew of homicidal gangsters (Mulroney, McNairy) kidnaps Downs’ teenage son. In one sleepless night he will have to rescue his son, evade an internal affairs investigation and bring the kidnappers to justice.
Monaghan plays an Internal Affairs agent investigating Downs who ultimately has to decide which side of the law he’s on, while T.I. plays Downs’ partner.
Vertigo Entertainment’s Roy Lee and Adam Stone are producers whiles Vertigo’s John Powers Middleton and Open Road’s Tom Ortenberg and Lawson serve as executive producers.
