
Netflix, via Vanity Fair, has released some photos to Da 5 Bloods, Spike Lee’s follow-up movie to his Oscar-nominated BlacKkKlansman. The film will be released June 12 on the streaming service.
Chadwick Boseman, Jonathan Majors, Delroy Lindo, Jean Reno, and Paul Walter Hauser lead the cast of the drama, which follows the story of four African American vets who return to Vietnam searching for the remains of their fallen squad leader (Boseman) and the promise of buried treasure. They battle forces of man and nature while confronted by the lasting ravages of the immorality of the Vietnam War.
The cast also includes Clarke Peters,Mélanie Thierry, Jasper Pääkkönen, Norm Lewis and Isiah Whitlock Jr.

Lee write Da 5 Bloods with Kevin Willmott from a script by Danny Bilson and Paul DeMeo and Matthew Billingsly. The film will be produced by Beatriz Levin, Lloyd Levin, Jon Kilik and Lee.
Producing the film are Lloyd Levin (Hellboy), Beatriz Levin, Jon Kilik (The Hunger Games Franchise) and Spike Lee.
Da 5 Bloods marks Netflix’s fourth collaboration with Lee. He previously wrote and directed She’s Gotta Have it, which is currently is post-production on it’s second season; and directed Roger Guenveur Smith’s one man show Rodney King for Netflix. Lee is also in post-production on the time-travel feature film See You Yesterday which he is producing for Netflix.
The film marks Netflix’s fourth collaboration with Lee, who wrote and directed the series version of She’s Gotta Have It and directed Roger Guenveur Smith’s one-man show Rodney King. Lee is also producing the upcoming time-travel film See You Yesterday for the streamer.
