With the film is set for release on June 3, 2016, Blackfilm.com had the opportunity to visit the secret lair where Leo, Ralph, Donnie and Mikey live in Paramount Pictures’ and Nickelodeon Movies’ “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows,” the sequel to the 2014 hit, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
By the looks of it, with the graffitis on the walls and leftover pizza boxes, it seems that the Turtles have put in years inside working on their skill set while collecting a bevy of old school boom boxes and create a “fireplace” around the TV. Upstairs is the master control room where they can see a lot of what’s going on in the city and when help is needed.
Besides the basketball court created inside, there is a locker for each of them that has their choice of weapon inside as well as their skateboards hanging around the walls.
It turns out that the The Turtles are offering fans a chance to enjoy their secret lair in New York City through Airbnb. It’s the perfect place to fuel up on pizza before shooting hoops on the basketball court or playing vids at the gaming station – all in the lair! It sleeps up to six per night between May 14 – June 2. Stays are limited to one night only to accommodate all fans.
While we can’t reveal the location of the spot, I must say that having gone inside, it’s pretty cozy and fun and a great play to chill out with friends. The only negative part is that you can spend one night there, so it will best to go when it’s going to rain and you have a reason to stay indoors.
The film is based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman and is directed by David Green.
Returning for the sequel are Megan Fox as as April O’Neil and Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick as well as William Fichtner as Eric Sacks. Reprising their roles as the Turtles are Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Pete Ploszek at Leonardo, and Jeremy Howard as Donatello.
Newcomers include Tyler Perry as scientist Baxter Stockman, Laura Linney as Chief Rebecca Vincent. WWE Star Sheamus as Rocksteady, Gary Anthony Williams as Bebop, Brittany Ishibashi as Karai, Stephen Amell as the sports-themed vigilante Casey Jones and Brian Tee as Shredder.
Michael Bay returns to produce alongside his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, with Galen Walker and Scott Mednick also producing..
