Freeform has releases a few clips to the fifth episode of its critically-acclaimed breakout comedy, “grown-ish.”
Titled “C.R.E.A.M. (Cash Rules Everything Around Me),” which was written by Craig Doyle and directed by Pete Chatmon, Zoey wonders if she should change her brand after her Instagram becomes flooded with haters.
The series was recently renewed for a 20-episode season 2 after 2 episodes had aired. The premiere episode. boasted Freeform’s highest debut for a comedy in nearly six years,
Freeform’s “grown-ish,” a half-hour comedy tackling current social issues and complexities facing both students and administrators, follows Zoey (Yara Shahidi), Dre (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow’s (Tracee Ellis Ross) popular, entitled, stylish and socially active 17-year-old daughter from ABC’s Emmy®-nominated comedy “black-ish,” as she heads into her freshman year of college at Cal U.
The cast also includes Deon Cole as Charlie Telphy, Trevor Jackson as Aaron Jackson, Emily Arlook as Nomi Segal, Francia Raisa as Ana Torres, Jordan Buhat as Vivek Shah, Chris Parnell as Dean Burt Parker, Luka Sabbat as Luca Hall and Chloe and Halle Bailey as Jazlyn and Skyler.
The series is produced by ABC Signature Studios and is executive produced by Kenya Barris, Helen Sugland, E. Brian Dobbins, Anthony Anderson, Laurence Fishburne and Julie Bean. “grown-ish” airs Wednesday nights at 8/7c on Freeform.
