Following the world premiere of Walt Disney Pictures’ and Lucasfilm’s ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ in Los Angeles, the cast flew in for the London premiere on December 16.
The film is the highly anticipated next film in the iconic Star Wars saga, picking up 30 years after Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.
Among the attendees included cast and filmmakers from the film – J.J. Abrams, Lucas, Daisy Ridley, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Gwendoline Christie, Harrison Ford, Peter Mayhew, Oscar Isaac, Simon Pegg, Lupita Nyong’o, Kenny Baker, Warwick Davis, Max von Sydow, Anthony Daniels.
Also in attendance were member of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Diego Luna, and Riz Ahmed.
Directed by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, and features a new generation of swashbuckling heroes and shadowy villains, as well as the return of fan-favorite smugglers, princesses, and Jedi.
The seventh installment in the series will stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, and Peter Mayhew reprising their roles along with newcomers Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow.
Lucasfilm’s STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS opens in U.S. theaters on December 18, 2015, and is rated PG-13.
