Opening this week (June 16) in 2D in select cities and on all VOD platforms from Bridgegate Pictures, in association with Minds Eye Entertainment, is THE RECALL, an action/horror thriller starring Wesley Snipes.
Directed by acclaimed visual artist Mauro Borrelli, whose credits include “The Hateful Eight,” “Captain America: The First Avenger,” and 2 of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, the cast also includes RJ Mitte, Laura Bilgeri, Jedidah Goodacre and Hannah Rose May.
A thrilling Sci-Fi Action feature in the vein of Cabin Fever and Skyline. Charlie (Jedidah Goodacre) and his friends Brendan (R.J. Mitte), Annie (Laura Bilgeri), Rob (Niko Pepaj), and Kara (Hannah Rose May) are spending the weekend at a cabin on the lake while unbeknownst to them aliens have begun to attack planet Earth. A number of the friends are abducted immediately by the ship hovering above and the remaining two of the group, Annie and Charlie, must rely on an eccentric and dangerous hunter (Wesley Snipes) who seems to have special knowledge of the attack explaining that this day has been prophecized for years and extraterrestrials have been guiding Earth’s evolution in preparation for their ultimate takeover.
Even with the help of the hunter, Annie and Charlie are eventually abducted as well but returned to earth the next morning. When they wake, everyone is back at the cabin and seems to fine. But when they turn on the news, they learn that the planet has just declared war on the 7 million individuals who were abducted and returned…”
THE RECALL was shot for the new and innovative Barco Escape three-screen panoramic format, which fully surrounds the audience and immerses them completely in the theatrical experience. Portions of the film were also shot for Virtual Reality.
