ABC’s Freeform has released a sneak peek to Season 2 of hit series “grown-ish,” starring Yara Shahidi as Zoey , Dre (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow’s (Tracee Ellis Ross) 17-year-old daughter from Black-ish.
From “black-ish” executive producer Kenya Barris, “grown-ish” is a contemporary take on the current issues facing both students and administrators in the world of higher education.
Shahidi is also joined onscreen by series regulars Trevor Jackson as Aaron Jackson, Emily Arlook as Nomi Segal, Francia Raisa as Ana Torres, Jordan Buhat as Vivek Shah, Chloe and Halle Bailey as Jazz and Sky Forster, Luka Sabaat as Luca Hall, Chris Parnell as Dean Parker, and Deon Cole as Charlie Telphy.
Diggy Simmons will return for Season 2 in a recurring role as Doug.
Produced by ABC Signature Studios and executive produced by Kenya Barris, Julie Bean, Jenifer Rice-Genzuk Henry, Craig Doyle, Anthony Anderson, Laurence Fishburne, Helen Sugland and E. Brian Dobbins, season two of “grown-ish” is set to debut in January 2019.
