In speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Starz Network CEO Chris Albrech announced that the network will be moving its entire original programming slate from Saturday to Sunday nights
Those shows include Power, which comes back for a third season 0n July 17 at 9pm, followed by Survivor’s Remorse, which airs a week later.
‘Power’ stars Omari Hardwick, Naturi Naughton, Lela Loren, Joseph Sikora, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Andy Bean, Jerry Ferrara . Lucy Walters, Adam Huss, Luis Antonio Ramos, La La Anthony, J.R. Ramirez, Debbi Morgan, Shane Johnson, and Enrique Murciano.
Survivor’s Remorse stars Jessie T. Usher, Mike Epps, Tichina Arnold, Ronreaco Lee, Teyonah Parris and Erica Ash.
“We see opportunity,” says Albrecht to THR. “Saturdays have worked so well that we feel our shows are going to be able to stand up on the most watched night of the week. Sundays are a prestige night and we feel our shows are definitely going to be very competitive, not just in viewership but in the attention-getting business on Sundays. So it made sense to move.”
It’s worth noting that the current season of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and Showtime’s “Penny Dreadful” will be over by then.
