Rapper-actor T.I. has confirmed that a sequel to the 2006 movie ATL is in the works. “#ATL2 Get Ready,” said Tip, who posted a photo of him with ATL director Chris Robinson and co-stars Jackie Long, Albert Daniels, and Jason Weaver.

“#ATL WAS A CLASSIC #ATL2 WILL BE LEGENDARY!!!” added Robinson. “‘AND SO IT BEGINS’ THE CREW @troubleman31 @jackielong @albeback @itsjasonweaver #RITF #BONG.”

The Atlanta, Georgia native made his acting debut in the 2006 film.

T.I.The original film told the story of four teens named Rashad, Brooklyn, Esquire and Teddy coming of age in a working class Atlanta neighborhood where hip-hop music and roller skating rule. As the group prepares for life after high school, challenges on and off the rink bring about turning points in each of their lives. The film was loosely based on Dallas Austin and Tionne Watkins’ experiences growing up in Atlanta and hanging out at a local skating rink called Jellybeans.

Besides the names mentioned above, the film also featured Evan Ross, Mykelti Williamson, Keith David, Lonette McKee, Big Boi, and Lauren London in her film debut.

T.I. will next been seen alongside Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart in the comedy Get Hard, which opens March 27, followed by Marvel’s Ant-Man on July 15.
