Focus Features has released a teaser trailer to the sci-fi drama “Captive State,” directed by Rupert Wyatt (“The Rise of the Planet of the Apes” “The Escapist” “The Gambler) and starring John Goodman, Ashton Sanders, Jonathan Majors, Colson Baker (a.k.a Machine Gun Kelly), Kiki Layne, and Vera Farmiga.
Set in a Chicago neighborhood nearly a decade after an occupation by an extra-terrestrial force, “Captive State” explores the lives on both sides of the conflict – the collaborators and dissidents.
David Crockett is producing with Wyatt. Jeff Skoll and Jonathan King of Participant Media are executive producing.
Written by Erica Beeney (“The Battle of Shaker Heights”) and Rupert Wyatt, Captive State will hit theaters on March 29, 2019.
