20th Century Studios has released a new highly anticipated trailer and poster art for The Amateur, a gripping new thriller starring Academy Award winner Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody) and Laurence Fishburne (What If…?). Directed by James Hawes, the film follows Charlie Heller (Malek), a brilliant but socially withdrawn decoder for the CIA. Heller’s life is shattered when his wife is killed in a terrorist attack in London. When his superiors refuse to seek justice, Heller takes matters into his own hands, using his intelligence and skills to track down those responsible.
The film promises high-stakes action and emotional depth as Heller navigates a dangerous global hunt for revenge while staying one step ahead of his pursuers. Alongside Malek and Fishburne, the star-studded cast includes Rachel Brosnahan, Caitríona Balfe, Jon Bernthal, Michael Stuhlbarg, Holt McCallany, Julianne Nicholson, Adrian Martinez, and Danny Sapani.
The Amateur is based on the novel by Robert Littell, with a screenplay by Ken Nolan and Gary Spinelli. It’s produced by Hutch Parker, Dan Wilson, Rami Malek, and Joel B. Michaels, with JJ Hook serving as executive producer.

The new trailer offers a tense glimpse into the film’s heart-pounding action and emotional stakes, with Malek delivering a haunting performance as a man consumed by grief and determined to seek justice. The Amateur is set to hit theaters April 11.
