Omar SyFrench actor Omar Sy, who won France’s Cesar Award for Best Actor for his performance in the hit film The Intouchables in 2011 and appears as Bishop in Bryan Singer‘s upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past, announced on his Twitter account, in French and in English, that he has joined the cast of of Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World.

He stated “Fan of this saga from the beginning, I’m very proud to be part of the cast for JURASSIC WORLD @UniversalPics @colintrevorrow

The film will be directed by Colin Trevorrow, who also tweeted (in French) that he was “very happy to welcome” the actor.

Jurassic WorldJurassic World stars Chris Pratt, Idris Elba, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson and Irrfan Khan.

Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley will produce the film, which was written by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly.

Sy was last seen opposite Audrey Tautou in Michel Gondry‘s Moon Indigo. Besides X-Men: Days of Future Past, another upcoming film is the dramatic film Good People with James Franco and Kate Hudson and Intouchables directors Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache’s French-language Samba.

Jurassic World is set for release on June 12, 2015
