The Tracking Board and THR are reporting that comedian Tracy Morgan and Aldis Hodge are set to join Taraji P. Henson in Paramount Players’ comedy What Men Want, a remake of the 2000 film What Women Want starred Mel Gibson

The new film finds Henson playing a sports agent who has been constantly boxed out by her male colleagues. When she gains the ability to hear men’s thoughts, she uses it to her advantage as she races to sign the NBA’s next superstar.

The site states that Morgan will play the NBA star’s father, who is brash and loud, a la current Lakers “dadager” Lavar Ball.

Adam Shankman is directing and executive producing the film, which is being produced by Will Packer and James Lopez. Brian Robbins and Ali Bell are spearheading production for Paramount Players. What Men Want will hit theaters on Jan. 11, 2019.

Morgan currently stars opposite Tiffany Haddish in the TBS comedy The Last O.G. and he’s also attached to star alongside Luke Wilson in the indie comedy The Shitheads, which serves as Macon Blair’s follow-up to his Sundance-winning I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore. The hilarious SNL alum’s recent film credits include Chris Rock’s Top Five and the New Line comedy Fist Fight.

Hodge, who starred with Henson in Hidden Figures, will star opposite Gillian Jacobs and Adam Devine in the Disney comedy Magic Camp.
