Universal Pictures will release Kevin Hart’s concert film, Kevin Hart: What Now? on October 14, 2016.
Hart’s last concert film, Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain, grossed $32.3M on the July 4th weekend in 2013. That became the third-highest live stand-up comedy movie of all time.
Hart’s What Now? filmed outdoors in front of 50,000 people at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field—marking the first time a comedian has ever performed to an at-capacity football stadium. It was a sold-out performance.
According to Forbes, “Hart’s presence in today’s comedy circuit is unmatched. The 35-year-old Philadelphia native has starred in nearly 40 films since beginning his career in 2002, with notable starring roles in the blockbuster movie series Think Like a Man and Ride Along. Roles in Along Came Polly, The 40-Year Old Virgin, Little Fockers and This Is the End are just a few of his other credits on the big screen.”
Hart’s current film “Get Hard” with Will Ferrell has grossed $86 million domestically.
