Sony Pictures has released a new trailer for director Paul Greengrass’ new film Captain Phillips, starring Tom Hanks.
The film tells the true story of Captain Richard Phillips (Hanks) and the 2009 hijacking by Somali pirates of the US-flagged MV Maersk Alabama, the first American cargo ship to be hijacked in two hundred years.
The film also stars Catherine Keener, Max Martini, Barkhad Abdi, Barkhad Abdirahaman, Faysal Ahmed, Mahat M. Ali, Michael Chernus, Corey Johnson, Chris Mulkey, Yul Vazquez, and David Warshofsky.
Captain Phillips will premiere at the New York Film Festival and opens in theaters on October 11th.
