A24 has released the first trailer to its upcoming action comedy Barely Lethal, starring Hailee Steinfeld, Samuel L. Jackson, Jessica Alba, and Sophie Turner (”Game of Thrones”). Barely Lethal will be released this fall.
Written and directed by Kyle Newman, the action comedy was produced by Main Street Films, Hopscotch Pictures and RatPac Entertainment.
In the film, Steinfeld plays Megan, a young international assassin who yearns for a normal adolescence, prompting her to fake her own death and enroll in a suburban high school. Alba plays Victoria, Megan’s former handler and current nemesis, who enlists Heather (Turner) to go undercover at the high school and reacquire the runaway. Jackson portrays Megan’s mentor, Hardman.
