Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for its psychological thriller The Boy Next Door, starring Jennifer Lopez, Ryan Guzman, Hill Harper, John Corbett and Kristin Chenoweth.
Directed by Rob Cohen, the film stars Jennifer Lopez as a newly separated mother who finds herself attracted to the teenage boy (Guzman) who moves in next door and befriends her son. But when she wants to stop their illicit romance, he’s not ready to let her go.
Kristin Chenoweth will play Lopez’s best friend, and John Corbett will play her ex-husband. Harper will play a principal at Guzman’s character’s school.
Written by Barbara Curry, the producers are Jason Blum, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina and John Jacobs.
The Boy Next Door hits theaters on January 23, 2015
