All rights reserved.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Acclaimed film, television, and stage star <strong>Taye Diggs<\/strong> will host the <strong>24th annual Critics\u2019 Choice Awards<\/strong>, the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) announced today. He promises to infuse the Critics\u2019 Choice Awards with his infectious charm and humor, and enrich what already promises to be a memorable night!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In The CW\u2019s new drama \u201cAll American,\u201d Taye Diggs plays Billy Baker, the head coach of Beverly High\u2019s football team, who can\u2019t let go of his glory days in the NFL. He also completed the independent film<strong> \u201cRiver Runs Red,\u201d<\/strong> featuring John Cusack and George Lopez.<\/p>\n<p>He was most recently seen on season four of <strong>\u201cEmpire\u201d<\/strong> as Angelo Dubois. Diggs starred in three seasons of <strong>\u201cMurder in the First,\u201d<\/strong> alongside Kathleen Robertson. The BFCA is the largest film critics organization in the United States and Canada, representing more than 300 television, radio and online critics. BFCA members are the primary source of information for today&#8217;s film-going public. BTJA is the collective voice of journalists who regularly cover television for TV viewers, radio listeners and online audiences. Historically, the \u201cCritics\u2019 Choice Awards\u201d are the most accurate predictor of the Academy Award nominations.<\/p>\n<p>The 24th annual Critics&#8217; Choice Awards show will be produced by Bob Bain Productions and Berlin Entertainment.
