On the hour-long episode that will center Beth entirely, Watson told TV Line,<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;We have a really great new writer Eboni Freeman, [who is] the main writer on it, and some of it is her story, very personal to her. They found a way to create this really beautiful backstory, and a beginning of a resolution of Beth starting to get back on her footing again. And then we have some amazing surprises in it. Jordan&#8211;exec produced OWN series, <strong>David Makes Man<\/strong>. She also has a recurring role on <strong>Empire<\/strong> as Diana DuBois.<\/p>\n<p>This Is Us is a refreshingly honest and provocative series that follows a unique ensemble whose paths cross and their life stories intertwine in curious ways. We find several of them share the same birthday, and so much more than anyone would expect.
