Directed by <strong>Deon Taylor<\/strong>, the duo join <strong>Naomie Harris, Frank Grillo, Reid Scott, Beau Knapp<\/strong>, and <strong>Tyrese Gibson<\/strong> in the film.<\/p>\n<p>Black and Blue follows a rookie cop (Harris) in New Orleans who accidentally stumbles on some fellow officers murdering a drug dealer, an incident captured by the body cam on her uniform. When they then fail to execute her she escapes and is hunted throughout the night by the narcs who are desperate to destroy the incriminating footage.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignright size-medium wp-image-116785\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 300 231'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Naomie-Harris-and-Deon-Taylor-300x231.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"231\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Colter last starred in the Netflix series Marvel\u2019s Luke Cage, but has a list of credits to his name including <strong>Men in Black 3, Million Dollar Baby, Salt<\/strong>, and <strong>Zero Dark Thirty<\/strong>. Besides Black and Blue, the actor&#8217;s upcoming films include <strong>Breakthrough, Before You Know It,<\/strong> and <strong>Fatale.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Williams, who plays Anissa Pierce, aka Thunder, in the TV series Black Lightning, has appeared in the <strong>Twin Peaks<\/strong> revival and the 2017 film <strong>True to the Game<\/strong>, among other projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Peter A. Dowling<\/strong> wrote the screenplay. <strong>Sean Sorensen<\/strong> will produce for Royal Viking Entertainment alongside Hidden Empire Film Group, Taylor\u2019s own production company with partners <strong>Roxanne Avent<\/strong> and <strong>Robert F. Smith<\/strong>.
