The comedy multi-hyphenate has written a story which is being adapted by<strong> Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg<\/strong>, and Rock will also executive produce. Lionsgate has dated the film for an Oct. 23, 2020 release.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignright size-medium wp-image-133020\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 300 150'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/saw-3-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWhen Chris Rock came to us and described in chilling detail his fantastic vision that reimagines and spins-off the world of the notorious Jigsaw Killer, we were all-in,\u201d<\/strong> said Lionsgate\u2019s Motion Picture Group chairman Joe Drake. <strong>\u201cSaw is one of the highest grossing horror franchises of all-time and it\u2019s one of Lionsgate\u2019s most successful film series. This upcoming film will still be as mind bending and intense as all the previous Saw films. This new Saw is going to be an event film in the making for horror fans. It will have all of the twists and turns and hardcore layers that our fans expect directed by one of the masters of the craft, Darren Lynn Bousman. We can\u2019t wait to get started,\u201d<\/strong> said longtime series producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules.<\/p>\n<p>The next Saw movie will be produced by Burg and Oren, and be directed by Bousman, who helmed three of the most successful films in the Saw franchise.
