Warner Bros. Pictures has release a final trailer for\u00a0\u201cJoker,\u201d<\/strong> starring Oscar nominee Joaquin Phoenix<\/strong> in the title role. The\u00a0film\u2019s teaser trailer will debut online tomorrow.<\/p>\n

The film was directed, produced and co-written by Oscar nominee Todd Phillips<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cJoker\u201d centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips\u2019 exploration of Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.<\/p>\n

The film also stars\u00a0Oscar winner Robert De Niro,<\/strong>\u00a0Zazie Beetz<\/strong> (\u201cDeadpool 2\u201d), Bill Camp<\/strong> (\u201cRed Sparrow,\u201d \u201cMolly\u2019s Game\u201d), Frances Conroy<\/strong> (TV\u2019s \u201cAmerican Horror Story,\u201d Hulu\u2019s \u201cCastle Rock\u201d), Brett Cullen<\/strong> (\u201c42,\u201d Netflix\u2019s \u201cNarcos\u201d), Glenn Fleshler<\/strong> (TV\u2019s \u201cBillions,\u201d \u201cBarry\u201d), Douglas Hodge<\/strong> (\u201cRed Sparrow,\u201d TV\u2019s \u201cPenny Dreadful\u201d), Marc Maron<\/strong> (TV\u2019s \u201cMaron,\u201d \u201cGLOW\u201d), Josh Pais<\/strong> (upcoming \u201cMotherless Brooklyn,\u201d \u201cGoing in Style\u201d), and Shea Whigham<\/strong> (upcoming \u201cFirst Man,\u201d \u201cKong: Skull Island\u201d).<\/p>\n

Phillips (\u201cThe Hangover\u201d trilogy) directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with writer Scott Silver<\/strong> (\u201cThe Fighter\u201d), based on characters from DC. The film is being produced by Phillips and Bradley Cooper under their Joint Effort banner, and Emma Tillinger Koskoff. It is executive produced by Richard Baratta, Joseph Garner and Bruce Berman.<\/p>\n

\u201cJoker\u201d is set for release October 4, 2019, and will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.<\/p>\n
