The nominations for the 92nd Academy Awards were unveiled Monday morning.<\/p>\n
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced nominees in 24 categories. John Cho and Issa Rae were on hand to announce the nominations, with nine films up for best picture.<\/p>\n

For the second year in a row, the Oscars will go hostless. ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke made the announcement last week when speaking at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour in Pasadena. “Let me confirm it now, together with the Academy, that there will be no traditional host this year,” Burke said, stressing the ceremony would repeat what worked last year.<\/p>\n

Among the nominees were Cynthia Erivo<\/strong> for Best Actress for her performance in Harriet. She’s the 12th Black actress ever to get a nom in this category. Along with\u00a0Joshuah Brian Campbell,<\/strong> she also received a nomination for Best Song with\u00a0“Stand Up” for the film. Nominated for Best\u00a0Animated Short Film was Matthew A. Cherry<\/strong> and producer Karen Rupert Toliver<\/strong> for his film “Hair Love.” French Director Ladj Ly<\/strong> was nominated for Best International Feature Film for “Les Miserables.”<\/p>\n The 92nd Academy Awards will be held Sunday, Feb. 9, airing on ABC as part of the network’s long-term agreement with the Academy.<\/strong><\/p>\n A full list of nominees follows.
