It&#8217;s also the highest-grossing film in the Bad Boys franchise.1995&#8217;s <strong>Bad Boys<\/strong> took in $65m domestically and 2003&#8217;s <strong>Bad Boys II<\/strong> grossed $138m domestically.<sup id=\"cite_ref-rtbox_49-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Not only that, but with a total worldwide gross of $415m so far,\u00a0this is the 2nd highest grossing BLACK film behind Marvel&#8217;s <strong>Black Panther<\/strong> ($1.3B).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignright size-medium wp-image-138035\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 300 185'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Bad-Boys-For-Life-1-300x185.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"185\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Produced with a $90m budget, the film opened on Jan. 17 and took over the #1 spot at the box office with a $48 million gross over the four-day MLK weekend. It would go to take first place for two more weekends.<\/p>\n<p>After many false starts, it seems that time was on the producers&#8217; side. Audiences enjoyed seeing their favorite duo of Mike Lowery (Smith) and Marcus Burnett back on the screen (Lawrence).<\/p>\n<p>The new installment centers on the Miami PD and its elite AMMO team\u2019s attempt to take down Armando Armas, head of a drug cartel. Armando is a cold-blooded killer with a vicious, taunting nature.
