But, he does specify that she will not be played by\u00a0<strong>Ashley Eckstein.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignright size-medium wp-image-142810\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 200 300'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Ahsoka-Tano-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Tano made her first appearance in\u00a0<strong>Star Wars\u00a0<\/strong>lore in the 2008\u00a0<strong>Clone Wars\u00a0<\/strong>film that led into the hit TV series, which was revived for its last season that is currently airing on Disney+, and has since spun off into other series such as\u00a0<strong>Rebels\u00a0<\/strong>as well as video games and comics. She was originally the padawan to\u00a0Anakin Skywalker and was not well-received by fans of the franchise, but as her character grew and developed over the years, she quickly became one of the highest-regarded characters in the entire franchise.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comingsoon.net\/tv\/news\/1128175-rosario-dawson-joins-the-mandalorian-season-2-as-ahsoka-tano\">Comingsoon.net<\/a> noted that\u00a0Dawson was previously asked about her interest in joining the long-running sci-fi franchise as Ahsoka in 2017 on Twitter, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/rosariodawson\/status\/828802110888120320?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">responding<\/a> she\u2019d be super interested in portraying the character, along with the hashtag \u201c#AhsokaLives,\u201d and it now appears her and the asking fan\u2019s dreams are coming true.
