It was also set to hit theaters on April 3 before being pulled by Paramount alongside\u00a0<strong>A Quiet Place Part II\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Blue Story\u00a0<\/strong>due to global coronavirus concerns.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignright size-medium wp-image-143600\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 300 193'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/The-Lovebirds-5-300x193.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"193\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A couple (Issa Rae &amp; Kumail Nanjiani) experiences a defining moment in their relationship when they are unintentionally embroiled in a murder mystery. As their journey to clear their names takes them from one extreme \u2013 and hilarious \u2013 circumstance to the next, they must figure out how they, and their relationship, can survive the night.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignleft size-medium wp-image-143596\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 300 200'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/The-Lovebirds-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The comedy crime drama also stars Emmy nominee <strong>Paul Sparks<\/strong> (House of Cards), <strong>Anna Camp<\/strong> (Pitch Perfect trilogy), and <strong>Kyle Bornheimer<\/strong> (Marriage Story).<\/p>\n<p>The movie is directed by <strong>Michael Showalter<\/strong> (The Big Sick) and written by <strong>Aaron Abrams<\/strong> (The Go-Getters) and <strong>Brendan Gall<\/strong> (Blindspot, The Go-Getters) from a story by <strong>Martin Gero.<\/strong>\u00a0Tom Lassally, Oly Obst, Todd Shulman, Jordana Mollick and Gero will produce, with
