It had already re-scheduled horror film <strong>\u201cAntebellum,\u201d<\/strong> starring Janelle Monae, for Aug. 21.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignright size-medium wp-image-141607\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 300 200'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Spiral-From-The-Book-Of-Saw-Chris-Rock-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cJohn Wick: Chapter 4\u201d<\/strong> will open more than a year its original opening date of May 21, 2021 \u2014 a date that Lionsgate announced last year in the wake to the strong opening of \u201cJohn Wick: Chapter 3 \u2013 Parabeluum.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe Hitman\u2019s Wife\u2019s Bodyguard\u201d<\/strong> has also been moved back a year. The sequel had originally been set to open this summer on Aug, 28, 2020. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek, Frank Grillo, Richard E. Grant, Tom Hopper, Antonio Banderas and Morgan Freeman.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignleft size-medium wp-image-128487\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 300 200'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/John-Wick-Chapter-3-\u2013-Parabellum-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lionsgate became the latest studio to adjust its schedule in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, which has Hollywood scrambling to adjust to the scenario that North American moviegoing will not be back in full swing until mid-summer at the earliest. Warner Bros. release of Christopher Nolan\u2019s \u201cTenet\u201d appears to be the earliest major title at this point with a July 17 opening, followed by Disney\u2019s \u201cMulan\u201d on July 24.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignright size-medium wp-image-142755\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 300 200'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Janelle-Mona\u0301e-in-Antebellum-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cAntebellum\u201d<\/strong> appears to be earliest Lionsgate title that will be back. The studio has two other titles scheduled for this year \u2014 the Deon Taylor thriller <strong>\u201cFatale\u201d<\/strong> on Oct. 30, and Neil Burger\u2019s sci-fi \u201cVoyagers\u201d starring Tye Sheridan and Colin Farrell, Lily-Rose Depp and Fionn Whitehead on Nov. 25.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe Asset,\u201d<\/strong> an assassin film with Michael Keaton and Maggie Q, will open on April 23, 2021. \u201cBarb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar\u201d with Kristen Wiig is scheduled for July 16, 2021. \u201cAmerican Underdog: The Kurt Warner Story,\u201d has been set for Dec. 10, 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lionsgate will also release Deon Taylor&#8217;s &#8220;Fatale&#8221;
