She later created the first drama series for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/BET\">BET<\/a>&nbsp;<em>Being Mary Jane<\/em>&nbsp;(2013\u20132019). In 2018, she produced&nbsp;<em>Black Lightning<\/em>&nbsp;for&nbsp;The CW&nbsp;and created&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Love_Is_(TV_series)\"><em>Love Is<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;for&nbsp;Oprah Winfrey Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGirlfriends,\u201d which aired for 8 seasons on UPN and its successor network, The CW, from 2000 to 2008, becomes available on Netflix beginning on Friday, marking the 20th anniversary since its premiere (Sept. 11, 2000).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is a dream to partner with the force of Netflix, for we have the same goals\u2013telling human stories for a global audience.
