Based on Cat Wilkin&#8217;s 2020 UCLA Screenwriters Showcase winning screenplay, the project will be produced by Henson&#8217;s TPH Entertainment. Producing alongside Henson are Bron Studios&#8217; Aaron L. Gilbert (Joker) and the Story Company&#8217;s Sharla Sumpter Bridgett (<em>Coach Carter<\/em>) and Tim Story&nbsp;(<em>Ride Along<\/em>&nbsp;franchise).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Two-Faced<\/em> follows Joy, a Black high school senior whose chances to attend the college of her dreams are threatened by her wildly popular and charismatic school principal, Jerald, after she confronts him with evidence of his racist past. With the help of her friends, Joy sets out to expose Jerald for who he truly is but quickly learns that he is not above waging all-out-war against the students trying to take him down. Henson will play Gina Robinson, Joy\u2019s mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Henson was quoted in a <em>Deadline<\/em> article saying, \u201cAfter two decades spent in front of the camera, I\u2019m thrilled to finally jump behind it for my feature directorial debut! What first attracted me to this project was Joy \u2013 she is the character I needed to see in films growing up, but never had. It\u2019s important that stories be told from a woman\u2019s point of view and partnering with Bron Studios and the amazingly talented Tim Story \u2013 both who use their platforms to help elevate women and people of color \u2013 feels like the perfect match. I can\u2019t wait to bring this hilariously heartfelt script by Cat Wilkins to life!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Henson has previously directed an episode for her smash hit show <em>Empire<\/em>. She even won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Series Drama for her role in the series. The actress has starred in a number of films since her breakout performance in 2001&#8217;s <em>Baby Boy<\/em>.
