The nominees are out! The NAACP announced the contenders for the 52nd Image Awards last week via Instagram<\/a>. The nominations were revealed in 30 second clips on the NAACP’s Instagram page by singer Chloe Bailey, Living Single<\/em> Alum Erika Alexander & TC Carson, actress Anika Noni Rose, and P-Valley<\/em> actor Nicco Annan. 2021 NAACP Image Awards Nominees: The Full List<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Netflix walked away with 51 nods, taking the lead for most nominations for original films like Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom<\/a><\/em> and Da 5 Bloods<\/em>. HBO came in second with 25 nominations for favorites like Insecure<\/em>, I May Destroy You<\/em> and Lovecraft Country<\/em>. Walking away with third place is Beyonc\u00e9, who secured 6 nomination throughout the music category. Politician social justice warrior, Stacey Abrams, was nominated for the Social Justice Impact award next to Tamika Mallory, Lebron James and more. Posthumous nominations were also given to the late rapper Nipsey Hustle and Chadwick Boseman for his roles in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom<\/em> and Da 5 Bloods<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show will be simultaneously broadcast on the ViacomCBS networks; BET, CBS and MTV on Saturday, March 27 at 8 p.m. ET.
