They may be grown women balancing spouses, kids, jobs, debt, aging parents, and shoulder pain, but can\u2018t they also be Girls5Eva?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The series stars Grammy and Tony Award-winning actress and singer\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0325989\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ren\u00e9e Elise Goldsberry<\/a> (<em>Hamilton, Rent, Altered Carbon<\/em>), Grammy Award-winner and Tony and Emmy Award-nominated singer\u00a0Sara Bareilles, Emmy winning <em>Saturday Night Live<\/em> mainstay and comedy icon\u00a0Paula Pell (<em>A.P. Bio, Wine Country<\/em>), and New York Times Best-Selling author, actor, activist, writer and host\u00a0Busy Philipps (<em>Cougar Town, Geeks and Freaks<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meredith Scardino serves as creator and executive producer for the series. Jeff Richmond, Tina Fey (Little Stranger, Inc.), Robert Carlock (Bevel Gears), David Miner (3 Arts Entertainment), and Eric Gurian (Little Stranger) also serve as executive producers.\u00a0<em>Girls5eva<\/em>\u00a0is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rene\u00e9 Elise Goldsberry originated the role of Angelica Schuyler in the Broadway musical hit <em>Hamilton<\/em>. In 2016, the actress won a Tony Award \u00a0for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her portrayal. On the stage, Goldsberry has also starred in Broadway hits <em>The Color Purple<\/em> as Nettie Harris and <em>Rent<\/em> as Mimi Vasquez. On the TV side, the actress has starred in CBS&#8217; <em>The Good Wife<\/em> and <em>One Life to Live<\/em>, receiving two Daytime Emmy Award nominations. In film, she has starred in <em>Every Secret Thing<\/em>, <em>Sisters<\/em>, and 2019&#8217;s <em>Waves<\/em> alongside Sterling K.
