Season 4 is set to premier on Sunday, May 13 with seasons one through three available to stream now on BET+. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Rich and the Ruthless<\/em> is a behind-the-scenes, dram-com soap that follows the fictional story of the first black owned family sudser on broadcast television, stopping at nothing to stay in power.\u00a0The show has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy-award and has won Best Ensemble Cast and Best Lead Actress by the Independent Series Awards.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:37% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 1 1'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Alison-1-624x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-152193\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>The series stars Richard Brooks (<em>Good Trouble<\/em>; <em>Shameless<\/em>), Victoria Rowell (<em>Birdie<\/em>), Alesha Renee (<em>Kenan<\/em>), Robert Ri&#8217;chard (<em>Harlem<\/em>), Chrystale Wilson (<em>All the Queens Men<\/em>), Michael Colyar (BET&#8217;s <em>Hollywood Heartbreak<\/em>), Dawnn Lewis (<em>Star Trek<\/em>; <em>Lower Decks<\/em>), Vivian Lamolli (<em>All the Queens Men<\/em>), Kristen Mako (<em>The Big Rant<\/em>), Bryton James (<em>The Young &amp; The Restless<\/em>) and new talent Akilah Releford. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Season 4 of <em>The Rich and the Ruthless<\/em> is executive produced by Victoria Rowell in association with Days Ferry Productions, Carletta S. Hurt, Richard Brooks, Vanzil Burke and Jill Warner. Head Writer, Victoria Rowell. Writing Consultant, Victoria Christopher Murray.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Victoria Rowell is an Emmy nominated and 11-time NAACP Image Award-winning actress and New York Times best-selling author. The actress is most known for her playing Drucilla Winters in the hit CBS daytime soap opera, <em>The Young and the Restless<\/em>. After her departure from the show in 2007, Rowell went on to star in several made for TV films such as the Lifetime TV remake of Jane Austen&#8217;s classic, <em>Pride &amp; Prejudice<\/em>, where she played Catherine Darcy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rowell has offered more than acting to Hollywood as she has produced and directed several projects. She executive produced and directed the film <em>Jacqueline and Jilly<\/em>, which addressed\u00a0the\u00a0Opioid addiction crisis in a well to do Virginian black family. Rowell historically directed Viacom\/CBS BET HER movie, <em>Everything Is Fine<\/em>, focusing on mental wellness in\u00a0a black family. Rowell appeared in two subsequent BET HER movies from the same series,\u00a0<em>The\u00a0Waiting Room: A Long Look in\u00a0the\u00a0Mirror<\/em> and <em>Like, Comment, Subscribe<\/em> in October 2020 as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.\u00a0Rowell also co-executive produced several Christmas holiday movies for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/2016\/11\/airing-uptv-merry-christmas-baby-malinda-williams-victoria-rowell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Uplifting Entertainment Network<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, Rowell teamed up again\u00a0with\u00a0AMC Networks\/RLJ Entertainment streamer\/\u00a0UMC.tv using\u00a0her interior design prowess for the original limited Series,\u00a0<em>Trash vs Treasure<\/em>,\u00a0working with\u00a0people to reimagine their spaces with reused or items purchased on a budget. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rowell\/Days Ferry Productions also co-produced a five-part, behind\u00a0the\u00a0scenes, <em>Secrets of a Soap Opera Diva<\/em> podcast\u00a0with\u00a0Entertainment Speakers Bureau, available now wherever podcasts are available, such as Apple, Spotify and more.
