The\u00a0Neil Gaiman\u00a0penned and DC published novel is set to debut\u00a0on September 22, 2021\u00a0on Audible.\u00a0The first installment will be made available for free on Audible, Amazon Music, and through Alexa enabled devices this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Sandman: Act II<\/em>\u00a0will once again be adapted and directed by\u00a0Dirk Maggs\u00a0and narrated by Gaiman, who also serves as creative director and co-executive producer. The ensemble cast will be led by\u00a0James McAvoy\u00a0in the title role of Dream, with\u00a0Kat Dennings,\u00a0Michael Sheen, and\u00a0Andy Serkis\u00a0reprising their respective roles.\u00a0Jeffrey Wright,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/2021\/04\/bridgerton-lead-rege-jean-page-is-not-returning-for-season-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reg\u00e9-Jean Page<\/a>,\u00a0Brian Cox,\u00a0Emma Corrin,\u00a0John Lithgow,\u00a0David Tennant,\u00a0Bill\u00a0Nighy,\u00a0Kristen Schaal,\u00a0Kevin Smith,\u00a0Aidan Turner,\u00a0Bebe Neuwirth,\u00a0Adrian Lester,\u00a0Miriam Margolyes,\u00a0Arthur Darvill,\u00a0Ray Porter\u00a0and an expansive list of additional cast are set to join them. The original score is again provided by the BAFTA award-winning composer,\u00a0James Hannigan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This second installment follows hot on the heels of the&nbsp;wildly successful first in the multi-part original audio drama series,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/audible.com\/thesandman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>The Sandman<\/em><\/a><em>,<\/em><em>&nbsp;<\/em>which was released on July 15, 2020 to record breaking pre-orders.
