The film stars Jennifer Hudson (also served as executive producer), Forest Whitaker, Marlon Wayans, Audra McDonald, Marc Maron, Tituss Burgess, Kimberly Scott, Saycon Sengbloh, Hailey Kilgore, Heather Headley, Skye Dakota Turner, Tate Donovan and Mary J. Blige<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

RESPECT<\/em> is directed by Liesl Tommy<\/strong> (her first feature debut \/ Tommy is the first Black woman ever nominated for a Tony Award for Best Direction of a Play in 2016 for Eclipsed<\/em>), with a story by Callie Khouri<\/strong> (Oscar winner for Writing, Thelma & Louise<\/em>) and Tracey Scott Wilson<\/strong>, and screenplay written by Tracey Scott Wilson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
